Introduction

Hi! I recently quit smoking with a vape pen. It's been over 47 days and nearly 1000 cigarettes not smoked. Most smokers want to quit, but the issue is not the nicotine addiction, but the behavior. Smoking is a ritual that's mainly used to mark time transitions and it's part of a ritual. You have a smoke with your coffee in the morning, you have a smoke after you're dressed for work, you have a smoke before you go to work, you might have one on your way to work, when you get there, your breaks, your lunch, after work, once you get home, after dinner, etc. That's the hard thing. You can use nicotine replacement therapies, but nicotine itself has a stabilizing effect, so it can either pick you up or relax you. For me, that wasn't the issue, but the ritual itself of stopping, inhaling, then exhaling and seeing a cloud of smoke come out. For me, that was most relaxing.

My experience is not unique. Many of people have used vaping to quit smoking. Many ended up opening vape shops because they were so happy that they found a way to quit smoking.

I'm not a medical expert nor an expert on vaping technology, but I have quit smoking through vaping and I can tell you I felt a benefit within a day. I was a smoker for 31 years and up to over a pack of strong cigarettes a day. I never thought I could quit. I did, and wish I could have sooner. Aside from the health benefits, it saves a lot of money. With this blog, I'm going to share my personal experiences and make recommendations based on those experiences. I'll review some products also, but this is not a blog devoted to vaping. The idea is that it's a tool to quit smoking for me and through the writing, I hope it will give people a better idea of how to quit with a vape and what to use.
